At 7group, we believe in a step-by-step approach to the process of commissioning building systems. We believe that commissioning is a team effort and by team we mean more than just the Commissioning Authority. The Commissioning Team must include all the major contractors and if necessary suppliers. The Commissioning Team must also include the Design Team (Architect and Engineers) as well as the Owner.
The commissioning process, to be most effective, must begin early in the design phase, be an integral part of construction, and closely monitor the project through its first year during warranty. The process of Total Building Commissioning needs all the key participants listed above because these are the implementers integral to the success of any project.
Our goal is to help the building owner receive the desired facility and for the design and construction teams to be more profitable. We strive to ensure that the building is built according to the intent of the design, the building systems are installed properly and are functioning properly, and the building systems are functioning together according to the design.
