7group partner John Boecker and Bill Reed of Integrative Design Collaborative will present the education session Re-Membering: Regenerative Design and the Patterns of Living Systems at this year’s Greenbuild in Toronto, Canada. This session will address the question “What comes next?” by focusing on regenerative design and development. Discussion will explore the philosophical underpinnings of regenerative value-adding processes and how discovering the patterns of each unique Place can serve as the stepping stone to understanding whole/living system thinking – and to moving from simply “doing less damage” to actively participating in the health of the places and communities where we work. Through regenerative case studies and examples, the implementation of pattern recognition and place-based thinking will be presented to demonstrate practical applications of these concepts.
This session, Session Number PL07, is scheduled for Thursday, October 6th from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. To learn more and to register for Greenbuild education sessions, please visit http://www.greenbuildexpo.org/education/education-sessions.aspx.
