7group partner John Boecker and Alberto Ballardini of Habitech will be guiding a third green tour of Italy this fall. This Sustainability in Italian Architecture and Culture tour has been designed around attending Greenbuild EuroMed 2015, and provides a current perspective on place, culture, design, food, wine, and trends that are the foundations of a sustainable built environment.
The tour will visit contemporary and historic hubs of architectural and design innovation, including exploration of ancient, medieval, renaissance and current sites in Venice, Padova, Verona, Trento, Riva del Garda, Torbole, Limone and Borghetto. Other activities include: a visit at Cà Foscari University (the oldest building ever certified LEED EB:O&M), a visit to a local artigian laboratory, a motorboat tour on the Brenta River of Palladian villas starting in Venice, attendance at Greenbuild EuroMed, a visit to the MUSE Science museum (designed by Renzo Piano, LEED Gold certified), guided tour of Trento city, a nature walk on the scenic pedestrian trail “Strada del Ponale”, a visit at Ecohotel Bonapace first Passivehaus certified hotel in Italy, local organic Slow Food meals, and wine-tastings. The tour will start in Venice on October 12 and conclude in Verona on October 19.
This exclusive offer is available only for a small group, so space is limited; tour deposits must be made when registering, and the full cost of the trip must be paid in full by September 11, 2015. Early Bird discounts are available for registration by July 31.
