At the Yestermorrow Design/Build School, John Boecker along with Bill Reed and Joel Glazenberg will lead a five day course, “Regenerative Development and Design”. This course will address the necessary mental model shift from being occupants of the land to becoming inhabitants. As the leading edge of sustainability pushes beyond green design, the focus turns on the importance of regenerative design, or the process of integrating buildings, communities, and their inhabitants as healthy contributors to the living places they share. The principles and processes essential to regenerative design will be addressed throughout this course through lecture as well as on-site observation and field study.
The course begins Sunday, June 24 and runs through Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School located in Waitsfield, Vermont. To learn more and register for this course, please visit http://www.yestermorrow.org/workshops/detail/regenerative-development-and-design.
