Release of Integrative Process (IP) ANSI Standard 2.0 Receives Unanimous Approval

A culmination of over six years of work, peer review and decades of combined experience, the Integrative Process (IP) ANSI Consensus Standard 2.0 was unanimously approved by the American National Standards Institute on March 6, 2012. The newest version of the IP Standard outlines the intent, philosophy and implementation of the Integrative Process in the design and construction of sustainable buildings and communities. 7group partner John Boecker and Bill Reed of the Alliance for Regeneration led the effort  with the Institute for Market Transformation to Sustainability to create the IP Standard, which is intended to serve as a common reference for the building industry on integrative design, construction and operations. “With the urgent need for projects to incorporate principles of regeneration, IP provides the foundation to align teams, clients, and communities around ideas that can bring back health to the places we live and work while reducing costs below conventional and speeding up time to market,” says Bill Reed.

The IP Standard is available through the American National Standards Institute.
